Do you want to help optimize our transports and contribute to an efficient logistics flow? We are now looking for a transport planner for our newly established terminal in Borlänge, which will supply Dalarna and surrounding areas with deliveries.

What does the role entail?

You will be responsible for planning and optimizing our transport solutions with a focus on both cost-effectiveness and sustainability. The work includes strategic planning of routes as well as daily and weekly follow-ups in close collaboration with our terminals and external carriers. You will also handle invoicing towards external carriers in the Servicepoint system.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where unexpected situations are part of everyday life. The role involves daily contact with customer service, sales, and our drivers – all to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process. Therefore, it is important that you have an eye for planning, are communicative, and enjoy following up on details to achieve the best possible results.

Travel in the role may occur.

What are we looking for in you?

Your most important personal trait is a strong drive to constantly develop, optimize, and question current solutions so that we can always improve. We see that you enjoy working in a process-oriented manner and have both the aptitude and experience of working with various programs and system support. You are analytical and have an eye for detail, which helps you identify improvement opportunities.

You are a meticulous person who values order and structure. The ability to take initiative, make quick decisions, and be solution-oriented is important in the role of transport planner. As a person, you are flexible and easy to collaborate with others, even in situations where quick decisions need to be made. You will also be an important support and sounding board for transport management to enable fact-based decisions to be made.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• A completed and approved high school education. If you also have relevant post-secondary education, it is highly meritorious.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.
• Experience working in logistics (meritorious).
• High IT maturity and accustomed to working in systems.

It is meritorious if you have worked with Power-BI. Additionally, experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is also an advantage.

Your workplace

At our terminal in Borlänge, you will be part of a close-knit team of about 10 employees. We support each other in our daily work and collaborate to create a positive work environment – even when things don’t go exactly as planned. Here, together with your colleagues, you will be an important part of ensuring that all drivers get the right customers on their vehicles.
